The automotive gallery in the New Elliott Museum will expand significantly to include the world’s most comprehensive collection of Ford Model A cars and trucks. The 8,500 sq. ft. gallery will feature a computerized three-level storage system for the Elliott’s entire antique car collection. Visitors will be able to select a vehicle and watch as a robotic lift retrieves it and places it on a glass-enclosed turntable for closer viewing.
The focus of the New Elliott Museum will also expand to include innovation throughout a full range of transportation, from the ships that sailed our shores to aviation pioneer Hugh Willoughby’s 1911 airplane, The Pelican.
