Hours/Admission

Step back in time to the turn of the century with a visit to the House of Refuge Museum at Gilbert’s Bar.  The museum exhibits lifesaving equipment used to rescue shipwrecked sailors, and showcases the Keeper’s quarters circa 1904.  You can take a self-guided tour at any time, or schedule a guided tour for yourself and a group.

If you plan on visiting more than once, consider becoming a member of the Historical Society of Martin County.  You’ll enjoy benefits that include complimentary admission, advance notice of special events, gift store discounts and much more!
