Bob Banasiak has boosted the Elliott's collection with a long-term loan of more than 120 autographed baseballs. The names include Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Nolan Ryan, Stan Musial and Ted Williams. Banasiak is a lifelong baseball fan and Stuart, Florida, businessman. He began collecting the day that Mickey Mantle died as a way to remember one of his favorite players.
 
 
Jim Kaat, former Major League pitcher, is supporting the Elliott Museum's baseball collection as chairman of the spring training exhibit. He talks about what makes the collection special in this video. Kaat won 283 games in his career, which began with the Washington Senators. His American and National league contracts are on display in the exhibit.

Rob Murphy, former Major League relief pitcher, serves as vice chairman of the spring training exhibit. He became involved with the Elliott in the fall of 2009 with its exhibit then. In this video, Murphy talks about what baseball means to him. He should know. In 1986, his first season with the Cincinnati Reds, Murphy had an 0.72 ERA in 34 relief appearances, a 6-0 record, and allowed only 26 hits in 50.1 innings.
 
 
Rusty Meacham, a Martin County, Florida, native and former Major League pitcher, is a leading supporter of the Elliott Museum's baseball collection. He has done public appearances and interviews for the museum. He talks about the collection and what attracts his eye each time he sees it. In 1992, Meacham pitched 27 scoreless innings as a reliever for the Kansas City Royals. During that stretch, his ERA dropped to a tiny 0.28.
