The new Elliott, to be built on the museum’s current site, will virtually double the space of the existing facility. In keeping with its innovation theme, the new Elliott will be constructed for environmental sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly features into its design and operation. Its extensive climate and UV controls will ensure the preservation of the Elliott’s valuable collections for generations to come. The building will also be hurricane-resistant, designed to withstand 180 mph winds.
